Wings-Oilers Recap

The Wings gave the fans at Joe Louis Arena a bit of a scare Tuesday night, but still managed to get the job done. The Wings took an early 4-o lead on goals by Andreas Lilja, Niklas Kronwall, Drew Miller, and Johan Franzen in the first and second period. Then the Oilers stormed back, and managed to tie the game on Tom Gilbert’s second goal of the night halfway through the third period. But with 1:07 left to play in regulation, Brad Stuart came through for the Wings, tipping a shot from Pavel Datsyuk in for the game-winning goal. Goaltender Jimmy Howard picked up 22 saves en route to his 33rd win of the season.

  1. Manfred Marcus says:

Please explain to me how Mr. Todd Bertusi (the one handed hockey player) who is always the last player to back check on his line can deserve to play with Zetterberg. he is the worst player to play for the Red Wings since Dan Erry. How about giving Darren Helm a shot ? I am sure there has to be a better player in the minors them bertusi. I have been a fan for 47 years and have never seen such an inept player play on a top line. Maybe if you tape his hands on the stick he might play better.

I only have one question to ask you Manfred,

Even if you think he is the worst player to play for the red wings, could you beat him?

Lets put it this way even on his worst day he could still kick our butt on the ice.

What traditions have been passed down in your family?
