We truly appreciate all of your positive feedback from last night’s Toast of Hockeytown at Joe Louis Arena. Jimmy Howard and the boys were all dressed up for the occasion, mingling with some 400 fans who generously supported the Detroit Red Wings Foundation in making the event a smashing success.
Speaking of Howard, while there has been much talk about the new All-Star format, fans have also expressed disappointment on our Social Networking sites that the goaltender is not on the ballot. The Bleacher Report outlines their case for Howard’s candidacy here.
You can vote for the other Red Wing nominees including Nicklas Lidstrom, Brian Rafalski, Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen at vote.nhl.com through January 3.
As expected with a club sitting at the top spot in the Western Conference, the Wings’ headline a lot of the experts lists this Thanksgiving.
